Notice to Patients
Due to the very positive patient response to our new online system, Doctrin, we are phasing out the appointments bookable online via the Systmonline platform.
Doctrin has many advantages over Systmonline as it gathers detailed information which allows us to direct patients to the most appropriate person for their need. This means that routine concerns are sign-posted to the most appropriate clinician or administrative teams, this gives GPs extra capacity to deal with urgent and complex cases.
We have delivered nearly 800 Doctrin consultations (in addition to our normal service) since its introduction a month ago. The platform consistently has a more than 90% approval rating with patients saying they have enough information on their condition and would recommend it to others.
Hub Manager Sarah Parren said: 'As Doctrin has proved so popular and user friendly it makes sense to increase our Doctrin consultations by phasing out our Systmonline ones. If patients are familiar with Systmonline they should find Doctrin interactive and easy to navigate. Those patients who do not want to use an online system can contact us by telephone as usual and, if any patient needs to see a GP face to face, they will be offered an appointment. By converting our Systmonline slots to Doctrin ones it makes better use of our teams’ specialisms, appointments and resources.'
