This Weeks News
Dear Patients,
We are now a few months into our new, fully merged practice and have been working hard to address the key issues facing both staff and patients at the surgery.
As part of this drive for improvement, we are posting weekly updates to our Facebook page and website, keeping you all updated with what we have been working on.
Below is our update for this week:
Staffing
We have welcomed three new members of staff to Lakeside St Neots – a new secretary called Alice-Marie, a new Practice Nurse called Katie and a new receptionist called Ciara. We have also had two new GPs start this week - Dr Ami Handa and Dr Anissa Toonah, this will mean we will now have more appointment availability.
Telephone system
We have had issues with our telephone lines this week, which has impacted on call answer times. These are now resolved. However, we still have a high rate of staff sickness at the moment, which is also having an impact. But, rest assured, we are committed to improving call answer times and are working on this.
Same day telephone appointments
We release telephone appointments at 6pm each evening for the next morning’s telephone triage service. Whilst these are not an exact time of contact, it does mean that you will be called during that day if you leave a contact number with us that you will be available on during the day. For more information on how our telephone triage system works, please contact reception.
Doctorlink
St Neots patients can now use Doctorlink to assess their condition online through a series of questions. The system will assess your needs and direct you to the most suitable service or department. If this is a GP, the system can book an appointment for you. For more information on Doctorlink and our other online services, go to www.lakesidestneots.co.uk.
