PCN team distributes Christmas food hampers

The Personalised Care Team at St Neots Primary Care Network know that Christmas can bring extra financial pressures for many families. To help ease this burden, they partnered with St Neots Food Bank to provide Christmas Food Hampers for those in need.

The team is delighted that 13 households accepted the offer, and to make it even more special, the team hand-delivered some of them, adding a personal touch during the festive season.

Lucy Richardson said: ‘I work with St Neots Food Bank closely in my role as a social prescriber. They contacted me last month with the offer of Christmas Food Hampers for local households in need. I shared this offer with the Personalised Care team, and together we identified individuals and families who would benefit from this support. This included patients who had received a food bank voucher in the last three months or were facing financial difficulties. We collected the hampers from the Food Bank warehouse and arranged collection and deliveries with the patients. The hampers were packed in Christmas bags and included standard store cupboard essentials alongside Christmas treats. This collaboration reflects what we can do when we come together as a community, and how we can tackle challenges like the rising cost of living.'

A huge thank you to St Neots Food Bank for their incredible support and to everyone who helped make this possible.
