Ella raises money for Animal Rescue Charity

Ella Creek, from Management Support at St Neots is training for a 10k race to raise money for an animal rescue charity.
She and her friend, Tate, are tackling the ‘Feisty Phoenix’ race at Mowsbury Park, Bedford on 12 April. Ella is raising money to ARC Animal Rescue Charity, a small, family run charity in Hertfordshire who rehome unwanted and abandoned animals.
Ella said: ‘I haven't done anything like this before; the training requires a mix of road running and treadmill to build up the stamina! A lot of stretching and staying hydrated are very important too! I run every day to practice whether it be at the gym or around the village where I live. I found the charity online, emailed them and found out more. It is a wonderful charity so the more awareness and money we raise the better chance we have of getting the animals a loving home and the treatment they need. Coincidentally the race is organised by Phoenix Running, and the charity have a lovely GSD cross called Phoenix, who has been in the shelter for over 300 days and is looking for her new home.’
