Holly becomes a Queen’s Nurse

It has its origins in early nursing and is a formal recognition of being part of a professional network of nurses delivering and leading outstanding care in the community.

Holly qualified in 2013 and has worked in the community helping stroke and cardiac patients. She completed her specialist district nurse degree and joined us as a community nurse practitioner, working out of Eaton Socon Health Centre, providing care for housebound patients as well as in residential care homes.

She applied to become a Queen’s Nurse and managers and patients’ opinions were taken into account by the Queen’s Nurse panel. She will received her certificate and official badge at a ceremony in November.

She loves her role in community nursing and says that working at St Neots has ‘broadened her experience and expanded her knowledge.’
