Men’s health awareness evening in St Neots
Patients who are interested in learning more about men’s health, prostate health and PSA testing can attend an upcoming community awareness event in St Neots.
The Men’s Health Awareness Evening takes place on Monday 8 June 2026 at The Citizen Hub, 58 Market Square, St Neots, PE19 2AA.
One of our GPs, Dr Thaven Chetty, will be giving a medical talk during the evening. Dr Chetty, said:
“Over the years, I have supported many patients who have come to see us with prostate symptoms or worries about their prostate health. These concerns can range from common, non-cancerous prostate problems to prostate cancer.
“Men’s health can sometimes be difficult to talk about but having open conversations and knowing what signs to look out for can make a real difference.
“This event is a chance for people to hear clear, balanced information about prostate health and PSA testing in a relaxed community setting. It is not about alarming people, but about helping men and their families feel more informed and confident about their health.
“I am pleased to be speaking at the Purple Horizons Men’s Health Awareness Evening and supporting their work to improve health and wellbeing in the local community.”
The event has been organised by Purple Horizons to encourage open, informed conversations about men’s health in a relaxed and welcoming setting. It will include a medical talk, guest speakers with lived experience, opportunities to ask questions and time for informal conversation.
The event is open to everyone, including partners, wives, girlfriends, family members and friends. The aim is to help people feel more informed about prostate health, PSA testing and the choices available.
Doors open at 6.30pm, with the bar available for refreshments. Talks and presentations will run from 7pm to 9pm.
Tickets are £5 each and are available through Eventbrite
This event is organised by Purple Horizons, a local volunteer-run initiative.
