Book your RSV vaccine appointment as soon as you’ve been invited
Eligible patients can book their RSV vaccine appointment at our surgery as soon as they receive an invitation.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common respiratory virus that tends to circulate during the winter months, typically from November to February. While the symptoms are mild for many, RSV can be more severe in children under 5 and older adults.
RSV vaccine eligibility
- Everyone turning 75 years old on or after 1 September 2024 will be offered a single dose of the RSV vaccine.
- Individuals aged 75 to 79 are also eligible in the first year as part of a catch-up program.
Pregnant patients who are at least 28 weeks pregnant as of 1 September 2024, and whose eligibility continues up to birth, will receive their vaccination via Maternity Services. We can offer the vaccine at the surgery, and patients can get in touch with us to make an appointment.
Booking your appointment
We are now notifying eligible patients. You will receive booking information via SMS message, letter, email, the NHS App, or a telephone call. If possible, please use the online booking information provided to schedule your appointment. If you’re unable to book online, please call 01480 406 677 after 10am.
If you’ve already booked an appointment and receive another automated invitation to book, please ignore it, as your original appointment time is already in our system.
