RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENT CARE

I am writing on by half of my parents as a way to recognise the continued care and respect that we have experienced during recent months. From the first point of contact with the reception staff and administration office to the practice nurses and the doctors, we have felt attended to and listened to on every occasion.

We have been kept informed at all times when call-backs are requested and always with a polite and kind consideration.

On the occasions when home visits have been necessary the doctors have shown compassion and empathy towards my parents in an unhurried and engaging manner.

I cannot thank or commend Lakeside Healthcentre enough. We feel truly taken care of and grateful to Lakeside.

Many thanks,

JW

The continuous support and care given at the practice.

I have received a lot of support and care whilst under investigation for recent collapses at work . The nurse practioner at the practice has listened to me as a whole person not just a patient , I feel she has taken on board how I have been coping with the treatments and period of investigation and how difficult it is mentally to deal with changes in your life . It has always been a two way conversation to help get me the right treatment and tests I need , she has been so easy to talk to and has made me feel positive and extremely well cared for . Thank you

Patient for many years

I have been a patient at the practice for many years. My children are also patients here.I feel very lucky to be cared for by this surgery and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Unfortunately I have had to attend many appointments over the years both for myself and with my children. One of the most important things for me is to feel listened to during a consultation and to feel that you have some control in the decisions made about your care and treatment. I have always felt this was the case at cedar house.
I have never had a problem with getting an emergency appointment on the same day with one of the team of clinicians. In fact I had to bring my youngest child down to the surgery just a few weeks ago after a fall after school. He was given an appointment within the next hour. Routine appointments can be made with the same G.P which is particularly useful. Having the same G.P for ongoing medical conditions really helps and saves going over old ground. It also helps form trusting relationships and offers a secure environment in which you feel at ease to talk openly in consultations..I have found the team to also be very good at referring and signposting to other services within the community. They seem to deal very much with the whole person or family and look at the bigger picture tailoring their services to individual need .I feel very happy with the services and standard of care cedar house offers me and my family.
